would like to utilize this newsletter to it’s full
potential by publishing it on a monthly basis and
reaching out to more than the Chamber members. In
order to accomplish this, we need a committee working on
the newsletter to have interesting articles each month
and provide a chamber/community calendar. If you

BRAC Update: Congressman Aderholt visits Grant's BRAC
Booth
Congressman Robert
Aderholt visits
Mayor, Samantha Lemley, and Board
Members, Josh Barnes and Sheila Barbuck at the
BRAC Town Hall Meeting in Washington in
April.
BRAC TO THE FUTURE Board
Members, Joe Powell and Sheila Barbuck had a busy day
attending Grant's Booth at the BRAC to the Future event
at the Von Braun Center, Friday, August 17th.
Loren Traylor, Vice
President of Investor Relations Chamber of
Commerce of Huntsville/Madison
County, said, "I would like to
thank everyone for their support of the outstanding BRAC
to the Future event. We had over 700 in
attendance and received so many positive comments from
business leaders, elected officials and the
commands themselves! It looked like we had quite a bit
of action at the community booths as well. It was
a great way for us to show our communities what we
were doing, give updated information on the process and
to show elected officials and other leaders what we
can accomplish when we all work together as a
team. But, best of all, we generated some positive
publicity from this event from our local media". To get
