Grant Chamber of Commerce Welcomes New Member CAJA of Marshall County!
The purpose of CAJA of Marshall County is the protection of abused and neglected children within the jurisdiction of the Juvenile Court and the placement of these children in safe and permanent homes in order to help prevent future child abuse, neglect and delinquency. CAJA empowers citizens to serve as advocates for abused and neglected children of Marshall County, Alabama. CAJA needs volunteers! As a CAJA volunteer you will be appointed by a Judge to represent the best interests of abused and neglected children in court in Marshall County. You will be trained to independently and comprehensively investigate the child’s circumstances; facilitate community services for the child and family; provide a written report to the court; and monitor the case to ensure compliance with the court orders. Your work will be supervised by a Volunteer Coordinator.
